Hi there, I’m Elizabeth!
I’m a Business Development professional with a passion for creative emerging technology, with 9+ years experience in working in entertainment and creative-tech sectors, specifically AR/VR.
A native Texan, I started my career working for one of the largest movie theatre chains in the Americas, Cinemark Theatres, where I worked in various Business Development functions within the Marketing department for nearly 4 years. My last project at Cinemark Theatres was developing and leading the Business Development initiatives for the launch of the Disney-backed location-based VR experience, The VOID, at Cinemark’s flagship location in Plano, Texas. It was that project that got me hooked on the potential AR/VR has in storytelling and entertainment.
After my time at Cinemark Theatres, I moved to Bristol, England to earn my Masters of Business Administration at The University of the West of England. For my dissertation, I pursued a consultancy-based dissertation under the UK’s leading VR consultancy, Limina Immersive, where I researched the mental and emotional impacts of linear VR experiences and VR business cases. Upon completing the MBA, I moved to Ireland to join VR start-up RETìníZE as a Business Development Manager, where I lead the business development and strategic R&D efforts.
After spending four years in the U.K. and Ireland honing my expertise in the VR and creative-tech sectors, I returned back home to the U.S., where I joined U.K.-based Igloo Vision as a Business Development Manager to scale the business development efforts in the Americas. This opportunity allowed me to blend my knowledge of the VR sector with the immersive AV industry, leveraging Igloo Vision’s solutions to create shared VR experiences.
